Job Summary
Under supervision of the registered nurse, assist in individualized patient care aimed at achieving physical and mental wellness. Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to nursing care. Assist in unit operational support and duties. Adhere to Mercy mission, values, and service standards. Requires BLS within one month and completion of PCT competencies within 3 months. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing and walking, and mobility tasks. 36 hours per week, Days, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson, Festus, MO. Preferred experience includes EMT, paramedic, or prior patient care experience; preferred certifications include CNA, EMT, CPCT, and AUA in the state of practice.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPCT or enrolled in a healthcare career program
- BLS certification within one month of hire
- PCT competencies within 3 months of hire
- Ability to push, pull, lift 50 pounds; prolonged standing and walking; bending, kneeling, twisting, squatting
