Job Summary
Behavioral Consultant sought to provide individualized behavioral support and therapeutic services to children, youth, and young adults with mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs in the IBHS program. Responsibilities include designing and directing individualized intervention plans, completing client assessments within 15 days, observing clients in school/home/community settings, instructing and coordinating with teachers, aides, families, and other personnel, collaborating with interagency teams to align school/home/community plans, providing consultation when issues arise, conducting monthly peer reviews with a licensed psychologist, revising plans as needed, and adhering to CASSP principles and paperwork guidelines. Requires collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams to promote positive behavior, independence, dignity, and well-being. Employment status is Per Diem (not eligible for full-time benefits). Minimum 1 year of full-time direct mental health services with a graduate degree in a related field, or completion of a practicum with a graduate degree, or ABA service experience with BCBA supervision and 40 hours of ABA training, or licensure as a psychologist with 1 year of ABA experience and 40 hours of ABA training; license preferred (BSL, LSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT). The role is based in the Philadelphia, PA area with per diem compensation between $36.00-$39.00 per hour for individual services, plus group and training rates; location highlights include home, school, and community settings.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling, or a related field; clinical or mental health direct service practicum accepted with graduate degree; or ABA services experience with supervision and 40 hours of ABA training; licensure as psychologist also acceptable with relevant experience
