Job Summary
Design and oversee individualized treatment plans for clients and families through comprehensive assessments, including Functional Behavior Analyses and skill-based competency evaluations. Implement evidence-based ABA interventions while collecting and analyzing data to evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify plans as needed. Provide direct instruction to clients, supervise BHT-ABAs on assigned caseloads, and offer professional consultation to staff, parents, and community officials. Complete all required paperwork, reports, and documentation in accordance with agency policies and state regulations. This role involves meeting minimum billable hours that vary by site location. The Behavioral Consultant operates under the supervision of the Bedford Site Director and BCBA Clinical Director, ensuring ethical and effective treatment delivery across the team.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Behavior Specialist License in PA
- Certification from the BACB as a BCaBA
- Minimum one-year full-time experience providing ABA services
- Minimum of 12 credits in ABA from an accredited university
- Minimum one-year full-time experience providing ABA with direct supervision under a BCBA
- Minimum of 40 hours of training related to ABA
- Have a valid Psychologist License in PA
- Ability to work in a team and complete assigned tasks
- Analytical/problem-solving skills
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills and administrative abilities
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of and the ability to adhere to a professional code of ethics
- Knowledge of and the ability to comply with the State Mental Health Code
- Proficient knowledge of IBHS governing regulation requirements
- Ability to carry out appropriate restraints to prevent clients from harming themselves or others
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at times with or without assistance
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation
