Job Summary
Behavioral Coach Trainer responsible for designing, delivering, and coordinating ABA-based training across Beacon markets. Develops onboarding, competency, and ongoing professional development for Direct Support Professionals and direct care staff; ensures compliance with state licensing and regulatory training requirements; leverages learning management systems to track progress; utilizes ABA techniques for staff coaching and de-escalation; collaborates with BSLS managers to assess training needs, prepare calendars, and provide coaching in real-time. Travel between Beacon homes in Kansas City and nearby locales is required, with a focus on maintaining high-performance standards and regulatory compliance while fostering a positive, people-first learning culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional design, Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field
- Certification as a BCBA, RBT, BCaBA, or other ABA certification IS REQUIRED
- Two years of experience as a trainer/training facilitator, educator, or similar role IS REQUIRED
- Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
- Must pass criminal background check
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License
- Approved by state, federal and government entities to work within BSLS programs
- Extensive travel between homes in Kansas City, MO and surrounding areas
