Job Summary
Behavioral Assistant provides in-home and community-based support to youth and caregivers, implements treatment plans, and assists with progress tracking, crisis intervention, and caregiver training under supervision. Requires collaboration with a supervising therapist, completion of required documentation within 24 hours, and adherence to agency policies. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, NJ CSOC certification planned within 6 months, 2–4 years of behavioral healthcare experience, a New Jersey driver’s license, and ability to pass background checks; bilingual capability encouraged.
Required Qualifications
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in behavioral healthcare, preferably working with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities or mental illness
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role
