Job Summary
Behavioral Assistant duties include providing in-home and community-based support to youth and caregivers; implementing treatment plans and delivering services under the supervision of a licensed therapist; using evidence-based interventions and positive reinforcement; assisting parents/guardians with treatment plan implementation; collecting and reporting progress, including graphs when required; assisting with caregiver and staff training; recognizing and intervening in crisis situations; participating in required training and maintaining compliance with agency policies; requires strong active listening, communication, patience, adaptability, reliability, and organizational skills; eligibility includes NJ CSOC certification within 6 months and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology/Social Work or related field, plus 2–4 years of experience in behavioral healthcare; candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship and a valid NJ driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- 2–4 years of experience in behavioral healthcare, preferably with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities or mental illness
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- Post-offer drug screen required
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship (no H-1B sponsorship)
