Behavioral Assistant (Passaic County)

Job Summary
Provide in-home and community behavioral support to youth and caregivers; implement treatment plans and deliver services under the supervision of a licensed therapist; use evidence-based interventions and positive reinforcement; assist with caregiver and staff training; collect, track, and report client progression; submit weekly clinical progress notes within 24 hours of service; participate in required training; respond to crises appropriately; maintain compliance with agency policies; NJ CSOC Certification must be obtained within 6 months; requires a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Social Work and 2–4 years of behavioral healthcare experience; valid NJ driver’s license; ability to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship; bilingual candidates encouraged (Spanish) of interest.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in behavioral healthcare, preferably with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities or mental illness
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen required
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
- Bilingual candidates encouraged (especially Spanish)
