Behavioral Assistant (Essex County)

Job Summary
Provide in-home and community-based behavioral support to youth and caregivers; implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed therapist; utilize evidence-based interventions and positive reinforcement; assist parents/guardians with treatment plan implementation; collect, track, and report progression or regression; submit accurate weekly clinical progress notes within 24 hours of service provision; assist with caregiver/staff training under guidance of a supervising therapist; recognize, prevent, and intervene in crisis situations; participate in required training and maintain compliance with agency policies; bilingual candidates encouraged to apply; must be able to work in New Jersey and be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in behavioral healthcare, preferably working with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities or mental illness
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role
