Behavioral Assistant (Bergen County)

Job Summary
Provide in-home and community-based behavioral support to youth and caregivers, implement treatment plans, deliver services under supervising therapist guidance, use evidence-based interventions and positive reinforcement, assist with caregiver training, collect and report progress, complete weekly progress notes within 24 hours, participate in required training, and recognize/crisis intervention as needed. Requires NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months, a Bachelor's in Psychology/Social Work or related field, 2–4 years of behavioral healthcare experience with pediatric populations, valid NJ driver's license, and ability to pass background checks and drug screen. Bilingual candidates encouraged; must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in behavioral healthcare, preferably working with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities or mental illness
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role.
