Job Summary
Behavior Truancy Interventionist works with administration and staff at Tech High School to maintain attendance and discipline and to create a learning environment aligned with site/district policies. Responsibilities include implementing district and site discipline and learning-environment strategies, assisting with daily and individual student behavior intervention programming, attending to attendance monitoring and truancy prevention, and collaborating with teams and staff to support students with behavioral concerns. Required skills include knowledge of behavior management and de-escalation techniques, strong written and verbal communication, and ability to observe, chart, and describe student behaviors; CPI and related training must be completed during probation. Preferred qualifications include crisis response experience, data collection/behavioral charting experience, and bilingual abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Knowledge of behavioral management and techniques used with student populations
- Experience working with students with social and behavioral concerns
