Job Summary
Implement behavior plans with fidelity for children with autism spectrum disorder or developmental disabilities, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior reduction. Collect daily data documenting child progress and provide feedback to supervisors on session structure and program implementation. Attend team trainings, supervision sessions, and required safety webinars while maintaining a professional demeanor. Ensure safe use of equipment and comply with injury prevention policies and mandated reporting requirements. Work Mon–Fri from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM based on client needs.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in education, psychology or related field
- Registered Behavior Technician Certification
- Six months working with individuals with developmental disabilities (with an associate degree)
- Two years working with individuals with developmental disabilities (without a degree)
- Working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and/or experience with implementation of other behavioral programs
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and follow instructions of supervisor
- Basic computer skills
- Maintain a professional image and courteous demeanor
- Provide evidence of a negative TB test initially and every three years thereafter
- Obtain and maintain NCI, First Aid and CPR certification
- Regular, reliable attendance
- Ability to read printed materials and a computer screen
- Ability to communicate in person and over the telephone
- Use of hands to produce records and/or documentation in manual or electronic format
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, and use repetitive motion
Desired Qualifications
- Registered Behavior Technician Certification a plus!
