Behavior Therapist / RBT Trainer

Job Summary
Provide effective ABA training to newly hired and existing (Registered) Behavior Technicians to uphold ABC’s mission to deliver high quality early intensive behavior intervention for children with autism. Train and coach on ABA concepts and activities, demonstrate strategies from the ABC curriculum, and prepare new therapists to achieve competency per the BACB Initial Competency within the 8-day on-site training period. Collaborate with the VP of Training to plan ongoing, individual or small group RBT training and support at various ABC centers. Observe, monitor, and give feedback on skills from the initial 8-day period. Trainers will work exclusively with the training team and will no longer manage a caseload.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 3-4 years of experience in ABA, working directly with children with autism in either a Behavior Technician position or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
- Mastery in ABA therapy and pairing with children – 90% on RBT Evaluation (as per requirement)
- Recommendation letter from BCBA
- No CA or PIP within the past 12 months (internal only)
- Excellent verbal and written communication required
- Must have reliable transportation
