Job Summary
Provide effective ABA training to newly hired and existing (Registered) Behavior Technicians to uphold ABC’s mission to deliver high quality early intensive behavior intervention for children with autism. Train and develop the ABC clinical training team; promote or hire experienced RBTs to join the training program. Deliver coaching, modeling, and demonstration of ABA concepts per the ABC training curriculum during an 8-day on-site initial training, with ongoing post-training support. Prepare new therapists to achieve competency per the BACB Initial Competency within the 8-day period, and collaborate with the VP of Training to plan ongoing individual or small group R/RBT training at ABC centers. Trainers will work exclusively with the training team, without designated caseload, and perform other duties as assigned at ABC centers in Illinois.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-4 years of ABA experience
- Experience working with children with autism (Behavior Technician or RBT)
- Mastery in ABA therapy and pairing with children (90% on RBT Evaluation)
- Recommendation letter from BCBA
- No CA or PIP within the past 12 months (internal only)
- Excellent verbal and written communication required
- Must have reliable transportation
