Job Summary
Provide direct ABA therapy to children with autism spectrum disorder in a center-based setting under supervision. Implement individualized ABA treatment plans developed by a BCBA, deliver one-on-one and group therapy, teach communication, social, daily living, play, and adaptive skills, utilize reinforcement, prompting, shaping, and behavior reduction strategies, collect accurate session data, maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation using an iPad, monitor learner progress, collaborate with families and an interdisciplinary team, participate in trainings and supervision, and ensure a safe, structured therapeutic environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, Education, Human Services, or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with children preferred
- Willingness to obtain an RBT certification if hired as level 3 BT
- Interest in working with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to follow clinical direction and implement feedback
- Basic computer and documentation skills
- Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, squat, and move throughout the workday
- Ability to lift, carry, push and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed
- Ability to transition between activities
- Ability to engage with active learners and respond to safety concerns
- Ability to maintain professional communication with families and team members
- Commitment to HIPAA requirements and safety protocols
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred
