Job Summary

Provide continuous intensive behavioral modification, trauma-focused interventions, and residential care supervision for high-acuity youth at the 24-hour state facility in Lincoln, NE. Direct care includes de-escalation of verbal and physical aggression, implementation of treatment plans using positive reinforcement, and monitoring daily behavior progress. Partner with medical providers and Behavior Support Specialists to ensure follow-through on specific programming. Complete 40 hours of RBT training and competency assessment within 120 days of hire. Requires a valid driver's license, medication aide license, and proficiency in English. First shift coverage from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Related coursework/training experience in behavioral sciences, counseling and guidance, rehabilitation/treatment services, education, nursing/patient care, delinquency prevention, criminal justice, or related area
  • 40 hours of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) competency assessment exam completed within 120 days of hire
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to become an authorized vehicle driver for the State of Nebraska
  • Proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the language effectively
  • Ability to obtain their medication aide license
  • 1st shift availability (6:00 AM to 2:00 PM)

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any of the fields mentioned above
  • Previous experience working with youth aged 14-19
