Job Summary
Provide direct 1:1 and group-based behavioral support to students with special needs in a K-12 setting, including implementing skill development strategies, delivering teaching trials, and following prescribed behavior reduction protocols and BIP. Maintain data collection and documentation, communicate with teachers/BCBA, assist with assessments and goal drafts, and support staff in clinical and educational tasks. Duties include safety care and physical management, meal preparation, driving company vehicles, maintaining facility cleanliness, and collaborating with the treatment team to support student dignity and confidentiality. Requires High School diploma or GED, ability to meet background checks, complete required training (40-hour), CPR within 90 days, Food Handler’s Card within 90 days, and a valid driver’s license with insurance; prior experience with children and ABA concepts is preferred and BCBA/BCABA credential candidates will receive favorable consideration.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Criminal background clearance or formal exception
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Pass background check and fingerprinting
- Complete 40 hour training within 1 week of employment (stiped upon completion)
- CPR (required within 90 days of hire)
- Food Handler's Card (required within 90 days of hire)
- Fingerprinting (required within 90 days of hire)
- Experience working with children (K-12)
- Experience working with individuals with severe behavior
- Preferred: 2 or 4 year degree in Education, Psychology, or related field
- Current RBT or CBT credentials preferred
