Job Summary
Behavior Technician (BT) in ChildServe’s ABA program directly implements child-specific ABA programs as written by the Behavior Analyst. The role involves delivering behavioral interventions and skill acquisition programming to children, participating in program plan development and progress updates, maintaining records and data collection, and completing treatment notes within required time frames. Requires collaboration within an inter-professional team (including OT, PT, psychology, and mental health), adherence to BACB ethical standards, and participation in ongoing training. The position is a full-time, weekday schedule (8:00am–4:30pm) based in Iowa City, IA, with duties emphasizing hands-on functional support, data-driven progress monitoring, and effective communication with clients’ families and the care team. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and be willing to become a Registered Behavior Technician within 6 months (training and certification costs covered).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Willingness to become Registered Behavior Technician within 6 months (training paid)
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs and be mobile in the work area
- Effective communication in English
- Ability to work in team and handle multiple demands
- Experience with children with Autism and other developmental disabilities (preferred)
