Job Summary
Behavior Technician needed in Wilkes County Schools to support students with varied cognitive, social, and emotional disabilities. Responsibilities include modeling appropriate behavioral interventions, assisting in classroom instruction and behavior support, implementing Behavior Intervention Plans, collaborating with the IEP team, contributing to data collection and analysis of student performance, preparing instructional and visual materials, communicating effectively with students, parents, teachers and administrators, participating in IEP meetings, maintaining documentation and records, and supporting students throughout the school day including unstructured times. Must be able to work with students with special needs and demonstrate patience, discretion, and teamwork in a school setting. Located in North Wilkesboro, NC; FSLA status non-exempt. Requires a minimum of 48 college semester hours and the ability to work with diverse learners and adapt behavior-management strategies.
