Job Summary
Provide direct support to children ages 0–5 with social-emotional or behavioral challenges in Head Start settings; implement individualized behavior support plans; model and promote positive behavior guidance consistent with Head Start standards; support children in developing self-regulation and social skills; collaborate with teachers and families; conduct classroom observations and document incidents and progress; participate in family engagement and multidisciplinary collaboration; travel between Harrison and Mountain Home, AR sites; maintain confidential records and comply with program policies; obtain Intensive Conscious Discipline Training within 12 months.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with children ages 0–5, preferably in an early childhood or Head Start setting.
- Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and positive behavior support strategies.
- Strong observation, documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work with diverse populations using sensitivity and cultural competence.
- Ability to travel throughout the six-county service area to support classrooms as needed.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- First Aid and CPR Certification required.
