Job Summary
Provide one-on-one ABA therapy using play to build communication, confidence, and independence for children with autism. Track progress and follow personalized treatment plans while collaborating with a supportive team. Maintain continuous visual supervision and auditory awareness of clients to ensure a safe environment. This role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent physical movement, including squatting, kneeling, and running. Candidates must be at least 18, authorized to work in the U.S., and obtain state-specific RBT certification prior to working with clients in certain states. Little Leaves is part of LEARN Behavioral, a network of ABA providers committed to nurturing the unique potential of children with autism and special needs nationwide.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old on your first day of employment
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to pass a background check
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- State-Specific RBT Requirements: In states requiring RBT certification, candidates must obtain and maintain an active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential prior to working with clients. Failure to do so may result in delayed assignment or termination of employment.
- RBT required before working with clients (no grace period): Illinois, Indiana, Nevada, North Carolina
- RBT required within 90 days of hire: Northern California, Maryland, New Mexico, Virginia
- RBT required for candidates without a bachelor's degree: Massachusetts, New Hampshire
- You are expected to be able to complete all physical requirements of the position either with or without a reasonable accommodation
- This role may require you to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds
- This role requires the ability to frequently change physical positions throughout the day, including walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and occasionally running
- This role requires you to maintain continuous visual supervision and auditory awareness of clients to support a safe environment
