Job Summary
Behavior Technician - Home-Based in MA will provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based on Applied Behavior Analysis to children with Autism and related developmental disabilities across home, community, clinic, and school settings. Responsibilities include planning and implementing intervention strategies under BCBA supervision, teaching targeted behaviors with reinforcement-based techniques, data collection and documentation, parent/caregiver training, facilitating transitions between agencies, and ensuring client safety. The role requires direct client care in 1:1 and group settings, effective communication with parents and administrators, adherence to protocols, and flexibility to adapt to changing service provisions. Candidate must be 21+, hold a bachelor’s or associate’s degree in a relevant field, and be able to work independently within a fast-paced environment. Per the role, occasional travel and a willingness to align with organizational policies and productivity expectations are expected. Strong emphasis on teamwork, reliability, and professional representation of the organization.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an accredited university AND one year of direct relevant experience working with youth and families who require behavior management to address mental health needs OR An associate’s degree (60 college credits) AND a minimum of two years of direct relevant experience working with youth and families who require behavior management to address mental health needs.
- Strong organization and communication skills are required.
- Registered Behavior technician certification is a plus.
