Job Summary

Implement intervention strategies using direct therapy, monitoring, and consultation under the supervision of a BCBA. Teach targeted behaviors with specialized techniques including reward systems, incidental teaching, and pivotal response training while reinforcing positive behavior with children on caseload. Collect, record, and summarize data from observable client behavior and provide accurate documentation of intervention goals. Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with individualized treatment protocols and facilitate transitions among agencies as service provision changes. Identify emergency situations and determine appropriate action to ensure child safety in 1:1 and group settings. Communicate effectively with administrators, parents, and community members regarding client progress. Perform other duties as assigned while maintaining cost control and demonstrating reliability. Requires flexibility of hours and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 21 years of age and older
  • A bachelor's degree in a human services field from an accredited university
  • one year of direct relevant experience working with youth and families who require behavior management to address mental health needs
  • An associate's degree (60 college credits)
  • a minimum of two years of direct relevant experience working with youth and families who require behavior management to address mental health needs
