Job Summary
Behavior Technician (PRN) providing rehabilitative interventions and therapeutic activities to adults with IDD and mental health needs in a Crisis Therapeutic Home in Staunton, VA. Responsibilities include leading daily programs and group activities, implementing therapeutic strategies, ensuring safety and dignity in personal care, coordinating with primary care providers, families, and referral sources, and maintaining documentation in the electronic health system. Requires BT I with high school diploma and behavior health experience or BT II QMHP trainee (or eligible to register as QMHP trainee within 30 days); valid Virginia driver’s license and auto insurance; experience in IDD/BH disorders; willingness to work part-time and as-needed with flexible scheduling; CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, Infectious Disease, and Seizure Management training offered. Compensation: $19-$24 per hour, plus benefits such as 403(b) and EAP.”,
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with IDD/Behavioral Health disorders required
- BT I: High School diploma and behavior health experience
- BT II: QMHP (trainee), or ability to register as QMHP Trainee and be approved within 30 days of hire
- Maintain valid state appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
