Job Summary
Behavior Technician role to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance. Responsibilities include using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors, maintaining patient and compassionate teamwork, and participating in training provided. Role requires physical activity (standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds) and obtaining required certifications within onboarding timelines. Pay ranges from $20-$24 per hour with benefits and growth opportunities at Centria Autism.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 18+ years of age
- Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
- Ability to pass a pre employment background check
- Registered Behavior Technician Certification required within 45 days of completing onboarding requirements
- Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
