Job Summary

Implement individualized behavior intervention plans at children's homes under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors, adapting to various physical and mental behaviors. Engage actively with children through physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting objects or children weighing up to 50 pounds. Provide one-on-one developmental and behavioral support in a family-home environment, partnering with a BCBA to execute optimal support strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Passionate about helping children with autism
  • Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
  • 18+ years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven't had one in the last year)
  • Ability to pass a pre employment background check
  • Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Candidates must obtain an Registered Behavior Technician Certification after completing onboarding

Desired Qualifications

  • A minimum of one year experience working with children ages 0-18 in a daycare, classroom setting
  • A minimum of one year experience working one-on-one with clients in a behavioral health environment
