Job Summary
Join Bierman Autism Centers as a Behavior Technician/ABA Therapist delivering one-on-one ABA therapy to children ages 2-12 with autism or developmental/language delays. Provide life-changing therapy, follow prescribed skill acquisition and behavior support plans, collect and record data, and write therapy notes for each session. Communicate progress with parents/caregivers under BCBA guidance, assist the BCBA in preparing client materials, attend required trainings, and work toward becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). This role emphasizes a positive, fun, and engaging environment with opportunities for internal career growth, including pathways toward becoming a BCBA or clinical leader. Role requires physical tasks to support and transport clients as needed and adherence to BACB guidelines. This is a center-based, full-time non-exempt position with comprehensive benefits, including PTO, 401k, health/dental/vision, and disability insurance. Ideal for candidates pursuing studies in psychology, social services, early education, or related behavior sciences, or those with experience as daycare/preschool staff, paraprofessionals, DSPs, nannies, or similar roles.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift and carry clients up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to restrain/hold/transport per Behavior Support Plan
- Must be able to sit/kneel/squat/crouch/crawl/stand for extended periods
- Must be able to attend to basic needs (feeding, diapering, toileting, dressing)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and be flexible
- Ability to act with integrity and professionalism
- Preferred experience with children 2-12 in classroom/daycare/1:1 settings
- Experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
- Strong data collection and documentation skills
- BCBA guidance and supervision compliance
- Interest in pursuing BCBA or related clinical leadership path
