Job Summary
Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support students in the classroom environment while working directly with individuals with Autism and other Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities. Reduce challenging behaviors, increase functional skills, and foster independence by documenting interventions, collecting behavior data, and providing instruction to help clients acquire and maintain skills. Establish relationships with clients and school teams, respecting their values and beliefs to build independence in school routines. Complete the RBT Academy training and pass the RBT Exam to become a Registered Behavior Technician. Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree OR 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100 OR a High School Diploma/GED with Passage of the ParaPro Praxis assessment (BAYADA assistance available)
