Job Summary
Design, implement, and continuously improve alignment with New York State Office of Mental Health regulations and agency policies. Provide clinical direction to ensure high-quality, evidence-informed care while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards. Perform and interpret functional behavior assessments, develop individual behavior plans, and create interventions targeting challenging behaviors. Collect, analyze, and present data on target behaviors to inform treatment planning and generalize skills for home environments. Develop and deliver staff training, act as a mentor to direct care staff, and lead projects to elevate behavior analysis practice. Maintain all required documentation and participate in on-call duties as necessary. Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends consistent with restraint utilization patterns.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in a human services field
- Bachelor's degree in Occupation Therapy
- Two years' experience in providing services to children with serious emotional disturbance
- Bachelor's degree in a human services field
- Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Four years experience (as a substitute for the above requirement)
- Commitment to the Seven Commitments of our Sanctuary Model
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organized and efficient
- Working knowledge of relevant regulatory and accreditation standards and requirements
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends consistent with restraint utilization patterns
- Valid New York State driver's license

- Computer proficiency including word processing, spread sheet and data base management
