Job Summary
Write behavior support plans and guidelines for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, systematically evaluating efficacy and revising as needed. Conduct behavioral assessments, including observational reviews and functional analyses, to develop and monitor behavior intervention programs. Act as a primary resource for staff by providing ongoing education on positive behavior support and functional behavioral analysis concepts. Perform direct observations, track contact hours for billing compliance, and respond to critical incidents involving aberrant behaviors with post-intervention care. Ensure comprehensive documentation adheres to state and federal billing guidelines while following Texas Administration Code regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to practice in the state of Texas as an LPC, LPC-Associate, BCBA or LCSW
- Must have at least a master's degree in Psychology, Social work, Special Education, or related field from an accredited university
- Must have a clear license to practice in the state of Texas as an LPC, LPC-Associate, or LCSW
- A licensed clinical social worker in accordance with Chapter 501 of the Texas Occupations Codes
- A licensed professional counselor in accordance with Chapter 501 of the Texas Occupations Codes
- Must be able to travel primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected
