Job Summary
Conduct client supervision and care while managing crisis situations and implementing behavior management plans to reduce maladaptive behaviors. Promote social skills and assist with daily living, self-help, and recreational activities to support clients in achieving their maximum potential. Complete required documentation daily and maintain a safe environment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism. Work on the Children's Residential campus in Indianapolis across three shifts including weekend rotations, with a starting pay of $15.25 per hour. Comprehensive training in verbal intervention and physical management techniques is provided, along with benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, tuition assistance, and 401(k) participation.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 21 to work in our Children's Residential program
- Be able to provide formal proof of a high school diploma or GED
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- Driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar's insurance carrier
- Be clear of any felony convictions
- Be clear of any substantiated charges of neglect
- Be clear of any other disqualifying criminal convictions
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
- Favorably meet and maintain Damar's background screening
