Job Summary
Execute lower-level behavior interventions with students of concern (check-ins/check-outs, reflections, de-escalation), progress monitor behavior trackers, conduct in-class push ins/pull outs for de-escalation and coping skills, monitor detention and in-school suspension, perform discipline data entry, assist teachers with supervising students in all instructional settings, support behavior management techniques by modeling and reinforcing desired behaviors, and monitor transitions and areas where students are present (hallways, cafeteria, gym). Maintain accountability to campus behavioral expectations and administer appropriate consequences; contribute to a fast-paced, team-oriented culture focused on student support and growth.
Required Qualifications
- 0 – 2 years of experience working with students and student behavior
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- Belief in and commitment to the mission and core values of YES Prep Public Schools
- Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback
- Ability to work urgently in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
- Demonstrated ability to work on a team
- A dedication to learn, grow, and develop as a professional
