Job Summary
The Behavior Support Assistant gathers and charts data related to student behavior, models behavior intervention strategies, and assists classroom staff and instructional support staff in implementing individual Behavior Support Plans (BSP) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies. Provides support to assist teaching staff with instructing and assisting students having communicative or physical disabilities. Performs a variety of general classroom assistance duties.
Required Qualifications
- Proof of High school diploma or equivalent
- Proof of current Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Certificate
- Proof of CPR/First Aid Certification
- 60 Semester Units (2 years of study) or Possession of an Associate's Degree or Higher or passing local assessment in Reading/Writing and Mathematics
- Proof of valid California driver’s license
- Letter of Introduction (Cover Letter)
- Proof of HS Graduation (High school diploma or equivalent or college transcripts)
