Job Summary
Assess individuals with maladaptive behaviors through file reviews, onsite observations, and functional analyses using QABF or FAST assessments. Develop individualized positive behavior support programs and crisis safety plans while training staff on implementation and monitoring fidelity. Provide educational sessions to individuals and families to improve social, communication, and coping skills. Document all interactions, monthly progress assessments, and training records. Respond to staff requests for assistance with behaviors, offering on-site or phone de-escalation support. Make at least one monthly contact visit with individuals served, increasing frequency as needed for challenging behaviors. Coordinate care with outpatient providers, psychiatrists, and hospital personnel during behavioral incidents. Attend interdisciplinary team meetings, CABS meetings, and supervisory sessions as scheduled. Travel to various program sites and external locations for meetings and events.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Behavioral Science
- 2-3 years' experience in designing, training, and implementation of behavior programs for individuals with I/DD
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Travel to various program sites and external locations for meetings and other events
