Job Summary
Behavior Specialist responsible for guiding and developing behavior interventions, MTSS processes, and FBA/BIP interventions for classroom staff and behavior coaches. Responsibilities include modeling social skills groups, designing targeted interventions for MTSS Tier 2–3, conducting observations and data collection, monitoring MTSS processes and consent handling, developing FBA and BIP for students in or entering MTSS Tier 3, training and supporting behavior coaches and staff in de-escalation and replacement behaviors, coordinating IEP/IFSP/MTSS-related meetings, and ensuring compliance with state, federal, and county guidelines. The role also involves crisis interventions, professional development for administrators, staff, and parents, and ongoing measurement of treatment integrity and data quality. Location: Winter Garden, FL (UCP West Orange Campus) with a competitive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree or Higher in Behavior Analysis or Exceptional Student Education
- Florida Statement of Eligibility in ESE
- CPI Trained (Current)
- Minimum 3 years teaching or direct experience with students with ASD/behavior challenges (preferred)
- Experience collecting, analyzing and utilizing behavior data
- Experience assessing, developing, and implementing behavior intervention plans and strategies
- Demonstrated ability to teach and perform clinical behavior analysis with a wide variety of behavioral problems
