Job Summary
Behavior Specialist delivers cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) within Rogers Behavioral Health treatment programs, assessing behavior to develop and implement individualized CBT treatment plans; provides CBT-driven group and individual sessions, trains patients and support persons, collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, monitors outcomes, and makes necessary adjustments. Responsible for documenting mental health services in medical records, ensuring timely and compliant records, providing parent or caregiver training on CBT interventions, modeling positive behaviors, teaching reinforcement strategies, and supporting patient safety and program operations. Requires a Bachelor's degree and a Substance Abuse Counselor-in-Training credential (or state equivalent), CBT experience (12 months preferred), and related certifications; on-the-job trainings include RCC/CBRF compliance, CPR, NCI, and other unit-specific trainings. Location: Brown Deer Main Campus, Brown Deer, WI; full-time schedule, 40 hours/week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Substance Abuse Counselor-in-Training credential (or state equivalent)
- Relevant CBT experience (12 months preferred)
- Current valid driver's license (for Residential programs, preferred)
- American Heart Association CPR certification within 30 days of hire (with recertification requirements)
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training within 60 days of hire/transfer (with recertification)
