Job Summary
Coordinate, develop, and monitor the implementation of behavioral services and social skills programs for students with disabilities in accordance with District, state, and federal requirements. Apply applied behavior analysis principles or utilize district-approved positive behavioral strategies to prevent and deescalate challenging behaviors. Manage behavioral interventions for emotionally and behaviorally disabled students across a full-time schedule of 196 or 245 days per year at Paul R. Smith Middle School.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in education or related field
- Trained in applied behavior analysis or agreement to complete the district approved training within a designated timeframe
- Trained in district approved positive behavioral strategies used to prevent or deescalate behavior or an agreement to complete the training within a designated timeframe
- Valid Florida Educator's Certificate in an exceptional student education area, school psychologist, or guidance and counseling
