Job Summary
Build positive relationships with students across all grade levels and provide proactive behavior coaching and social-emotional support. Assist teachers in implementing classroom behavior supports and de-escalation strategies while supporting students during moments of dysregulation using calm, respectful, and restorative practices. Collect behavior data, monitor intervention plans, and collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and families to develop individualized behavior supports. Help facilitate restorative conversations, problem-solving meetings, and schoolwide culture-building initiatives, while participating in MTSS meetings to contribute to intervention planning. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times within our collaborative, relationship-centered Montessori school culture.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational, behavioral, counseling, or therapeutic settings
- Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, social work, counseling, behavior analysis, or a related field
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and solution-focused in challenging situations
- Experience with Positive Behavior Supports, restorative practices, Conscious Discipline, Montessori philosophy, or trauma-informed practices
