Job Summary
Implement targeted individual, group, and system-wide interventions to enhance positive academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and independent outcomes for students. Reinforce positive behavior, redirect negative actions, and model effective strategies while conducting detailed observations for functional behavior assessments and creating individualized intervention plans. Maintain accurate records of student behavior strategies and behavior intervention plans, collecting and analyzing data to monitor progress and inform instructional practices. Provide practical support to classroom staff in monitoring behaviors and executing class-wide management systems, assisting with instructional activities, supervising students, and managing field trips, bus duties, and lunch supervision. Respond promptly to crisis situations using de-escalation techniques and behavioral contracts to prioritize safety and minimize instructional disruptions.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in a closely related field of study
- Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a paraprofessional, paraeducator, educational aide, teaching assistant or related credential
- Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company approved crisis management training
- Prior experience providing behavioral instruction, guidance and/or support to children
- Highly skilled in working with children with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, emotional behavioral disorders and/or other related disabilities
- Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in an emergency situation and make independent decisions
- Solid motivational skills and willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and new initiatives
- Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability
- Knowledge of relevant technology including experience with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry and basic office equipment

Desired Qualifications
