Job Summary
Behavior Modification Technician/Exchange/EOY position to implement behavior management programs in a school setting under supervision, providing one-on-one and group therapy, data collection on student progress, and collaboration with teachers, parents, and community agencies. Responsibilities include establishing rapport with students, developing and monitoring individual behavior plans, supporting teachers and administrators, assisting with discipline and crisis response, and delivering social skills/character education with emphasis on safety, well-being, and academic success. Requires strong knowledge of crisis intervention, de-escalation, data recording, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; high school diploma required, with two years of related college coursework and one year of experience in mental health or human services preferred; bachelor's degree in a social services field preferred; NCI certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Two (2) years of related college coursework
- One (1) year of experience in a mental health or human service program preferably working with behaviorally complex children
- Active Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) Certification preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
