Job Summary
Behavior Modification Technician provides school-based behavioral support under supervision, implements behavior management programs, conducts one-on-one and group therapy processing, observes, documents, and maintains data regarding student behavior and progress, and collaborates with teachers, parents, CMS staff, and community agencies to promote student success. Responsibilities include advising on individual behavior planning, coordinating with CMS policies, documenting student progress, maintaining data logs, delivering social skills and character education, responding to requests for assistance, and participating in staff meetings. Required skills include crisis intervention/de-escalation, ability to develop and implement behavior management plans, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Educational focus includes supporting students’ social, behavioral, and academic development and assisting with IEP-related goals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Two years of related college coursework or equivalent
- One year of experience in a mental health or human service program preferably working with behaviorally complex children
