Job Summary

Support students in high-needs behavioral settings through 1:1 and small-group assistance, implementing strategies for aggressive behaviors, elopement, self-injury, and severe emotional dysregulation. Execute behavior intervention plans, safety protocols, and de-escalation frameworks while managing toileting, personal care, and adaptive routines. Collaborate with classroom teachers and special educators to foster a safe learning environment and assist with IEP implementation. Requires passion for intensive behavioral needs, an empathetic presence during escalated moments, and either a Bachelor's degree, RBT certification, or one year of experience in special education or ABA. Background checks and TB assessments are mandatory.

Required Qualifications

  • College credits, Associate's Degree or a Bachelor's Degree
  • Three professional references, including at least one supervisor
  • State & federal background checks
  • TB risk assessment or test
  • Valid RBT Certification
  • At least 1 year experience in a special education, behavior support, ABA, mental health, or classroom setting
  • Experience in ABA therapy and working with students with developmental disabilities
  • At least 1 year experience supporting individuals with significant behavior challenges
