Job Summary
The Behavior Interventionist is responsible for leading the support for students to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Key responsibilities include coordinating and supervising behavioral activities, providing guidance to teachers, managing classroom risks, assisting in developing support plans for students with IEPs, implementing school behavior plans, and collaborating with the Student Support team. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and a minimum of 1 year of successful experience in a classroom environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of successful experience as an assistant/aide in a classroom setting or equivalent profession dealing with youth
- Ability to work a flexible schedule outside of regular business hours
- Aptitude to create and work within an inclusive environment that honors and supports a diversity of backgrounds and perspectives.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience working in schools and urban communities is preferred but not required.
