Job Summary
Behavior Interventionist for a CBSS program in a special education classroom. Responsibilities include supporting curriculum, implementing behavior modification techniques, creating individualized learning materials, assisting with reading aloud, lifting or transferring students, assisting with personal hygiene (including diapering and toilet training), and maintaining documentation and records. Work involves 1-1 or small-group support, collaboration with the classroom teacher, a behavior consultant, and a behavior technician to implement student goals, behavior intervention plans, and daily schedules. Requires ability to work with students with significant behaviors or autism, communicate effectively with staff and parents, follow safety and privacy policies, and learn ABA techniques. Strong consideration given to candidates with experience with Autism and positive behavioral support. 9-month term. Location-based in Irving, TX and Joplin, MO; standard expectations for teaching and classroom environment; physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting with mobility. Must be able to work as part of a team and participate in ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Must have 60 college hours or
- Have passed the Para Assessment (MEGA)
