Job Summary
Write behavior support plans, monitoring plans, and guidelines outlining proactive approaches and medication use. Review all behavior plans semi-annually, prepare data for psychiatry appointments, and act as a liaison with medical providers and residential teams. Provide staff with documentation tools, monitor data, and conduct residential and day hab visits to assess progress. Administer assessments such as Functional Behavioral Assessments and maintain communication with program planning teams regarding supports and medication. Submit restrictive intervention plans for supervising psychologist or psychiatrist review. Provide on-call support to direct support staff weekdays and occasional weekends. Attend monthly behavior team meetings, quarterly clinical meetings, and life plan meetings.
Required Qualifications
- National board certification in behavioral analysis (BCBA)
- New York state license as a Behavior Analyst (LBA)
- Master's degree in a clinical or treatment field in psychology, social work, school psychology, applied psychology as it relates to human development and clinical intervention, or a related human services field
- New York State license in Mental Health Counseling
- OPWDD-approved specialized training or experience in functional assessment techniques and behavioral support plan development
- Master's degree from a program in a clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied psychology as it relates to human development and clinical interventions
- National Board certification in behavior analysis (BCBA)
- NYS license as a Behavior Analyst (LBA)
- Master's degree in: behavior analysis; or a field closely related to clinical or community psychology that is approved by OPWDD
- New York State license in Mental Health counseling
- Valid driver's license that is in compliance with Heritage Christian Services' motor vehicle record standards
