Behavior Intervention Paraprofessional - 4 Day Instructional Week

Support students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom by assisting with physical needs like transferring, feeding, and personal hygiene, while managing behavior and intervening in crisis situations. Prepare instructional materials, maintain classroom order, and handle equipment inventory and maintenance. Assist teachers with administrative records, reports, and substitute teacher orientation. Supervise students throughout the day in the classroom, lunchroom, on the bus, and at the playground. Adapt interaction methods based on individual medical, physical, and emotional needs. Maintain confidentiality and participate in staff development and faculty meetings as assigned.
