Job Summary

Conduct behavioral assessments and write functional behavior assessments and behavior support plans in collaboration with families. Provide educational workshops and individual training to family members and community members on behavior-related topics, including social stories and positive behavior supports. Review behavior support plans and relevant data regularly to make necessary changes. Act as a primary resource for families regarding disabilities and model positive behavioral support in the home. Perform direct observations of individuals as part of assessment and plan development. Maintain ongoing communications with families, service providers, and team members to coordinate behavioral services. Requires a valid NYS driver's license, daily automobile access for participant transport, and a Bachelor's degree in a clinical field or equivalent experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a clinical and/or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology, or related human services field
  • Specialized training or experience in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • 3 plus years of related experience
  • A Master's Degree in a clinical and/or treatment field
  • Valid NYS driver's license
  • Ability to drive
  • Driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage
  • Daily access to an automobile
  • Willingness to transport program participants
