Job Summary
Facilitate recognition of students meeting social, emotional, and behavioral goals while implementing data-driven Behavior Intervention support directly in the classroom. Engage in de-escalation, prompt student behavior, and teach self-regulation strategies as part of the Behavior Intervention Plan. Collect and compile behavior data records daily, weekly, and monthly, recording support in Welligent on a weekly basis. Assist with toileting and daily functional skills if required, fostering a safe learning environment in collaboration with teachers. Direct all parent inquiries to the BID and Inclusion Specialist.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of previous experience working in a school-based setting as a Special Education Assistant, paraprofessional, Behavior Interventionist (BII), Behavior Therapist (BT), or related position
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Proficient in data collection
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

- Must be flexible and team-oriented
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic, accountability, and ownership of work
- Regular attendance, dependability, and punctuality in conformance with the standards
- Possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Must complete 12 semester units and/or 18 quarter units and be currently enrolled for the same units
Desired Qualifications
- Registered Behavior Therapy (RBT) License
- Bilingual in Spanish
