Behavior Health Technician (BHT)

Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides one-to-one behavioral health services to identified child/adolescent and family to reduce maladaptive behaviors in home, school, and community. Responsibilities include implementing clinical service delivery goals, reporting to supervisor, completing required training hours (6 supervised field hours before working with clients), submitting required documentation to HR, ensuring services comply with licensure standards, maintaining professional relationships with clients and community partners, participating in interagency meetings, developing internal systems to improve quality of services, prompting safe replacement behaviors to build communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills, delivering all authorized client services with timely re-authorizations when needed, submitting payroll/billing documentation, implementing interventions based on treatment and behavior plans, providing crisis intervention when indicated, and participating in supervision and program meetings. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree, one year of full-time mental health support experience for youth/young adults, BCAT certification, and required Pennsylvania clearances.
