Job Summary
A Behavioral Health Technician – ABA (BHT-ABA) works directly with children or adolescents and their families in the home or community setting to implement individualized treatment plans. The BHT-ABA provides one-to-one behavioral support and intervention, transfers skills to parents and caregivers, takes progress notes, and collects data as assigned. Services are delivered in home, school, or community settings, with supervision and training requirements, HIPAA compliance, and collaboration with the treatment team to develop goals and interventions. The role involves documenting progress, maintaining professional demeanor, and supporting CASSP principles and caregiver coaching, under supervision of a Behavior Consultant – ABA or BCBA; location specified as Souderton, PA. Essential duties include applying the treatment plan, data collection, monthly supervision, and coordination with the treatment team; requires flexibility for evening hours and a valid driver’s license with a clear driving record.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (e.g. Social work, psychology, special education)
- Associate’s degree in related human services field, or 60 credits toward degree
- High School diploma and completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List
- Board certified assistant behavior analyst certification (BCaBA)
- Board certified autism technician (BCAT) certification
- Certification as an RBT
- Minimum of one-year experience working with children with developmental disabilities, and/or one year of experience working with children/adolescents in behavioral health services; two (2) years’ experience preferred.
