Job Summary
Behavior Coach at River Rock Academy to mentor students, promote positive decision-making, self-regulation, and social growth; provide structure and behavioral support while maintaining safety and collaboration across the school community. Responsibilities include mentoring students to develop problem-solving, self-control, and decision-making skills; monitoring behavior and enforcing expectations; responding to crisis situations with approved safety and de-escalation techniques; collaborating with teachers, counselors, and administrators; and accurately documenting incidents and progress.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in human services, behavioral science, or related field
- Experience supporting children or adolescents with behavioral or emotional challenges
- Knowledge of positive behavior interventions and crisis management techniques
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and consistent in high-stress situations
